The DPRK’s media say that it is General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s outlook on the people to regard them as the most sacred beings and his wisest mentors, their trust as the most valuable wealth, and the painstaking efforts made for them as the highest honour. 

He brings about entities of transformation most desired and welcomed by the people one after another, while orienting and subordinating everything to realizing their ideals and long-cherished desires. 

New and majestic streets such as Songhwa, Hwasong, Rimhung, Jonwi and the third-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area have sprung up in the capital city of Pyongyang. The rural housing programme has been pushed ahead across the country every year, with the farmers in remote mountain villages as well settling in new houses.  

An iconic coastal resort has been built in Kalma peninsula’s Myongsasimni, a 4km-long beach famous for its beautiful seaside scenery. The Koreans refer to the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area as an epitome of socialist civilization and a model of Korean tourist industry.   

In addition, a new model base of offshore farming was built in the city of Sinpho on the coast of the East Sea of Korea, followed by a more spectacular fishery station and modern fishermen’s village in Ragwon County. 

In 2024, a cultured rural town was built in the northwestern part of the country in a matter of four months to provide modern houses free of charge to the residents who had been displaced by unprecedentedly severe flood.  

What is more, massive people-oriented projects are in full swing up and down the country, including those for building regional-industry factories, advanced healthcare facilities, leisure complexes and grain storage facilities, as part of the efforts to implement the second-year task for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy, and for the rural housing construction.

Saying that it is his job to take pains for the sake of the people and that it is the path for him to take in order to bring joy to them, Kim Jong Un keeps following the road of devoted service to the people.
